Activities for Guests During Your Destination Wedding Weekend
Destination weddings give couples the opportunity to celebrate with family and friends in a unique location for an extended period of time. Guests may travel from near and far to be present for the ceremony. When they are not attending wedding related events, they have the option to go explore the area in which they are staying. Dream Beach Wedding has proudly coordinated more than 2,500 weddings on the beautiful shores of San Diego, California. San Diego is home to numerous beaches, museums, attractions, and more. We have created a list of things to do near our wedding venues for family and friends to enjoy during their stay!
La Jolla Cove
La Jolla Cove is a favorite spot among both residents and visitors. During the day you’ll find sea lions basking in the sun on the shoreline. Near the cove is the La Jolla Underwater Park and Ecological Reserve, which is 6,000 acres of ocean bottom and tidelands. Many choose to explore the area around the cove by kayaking, snorkeling, and scuba diving.
Old Town San Diego State Historic Park
Get a taste of 19th century history at the Old Town San Diego State Historic Park. The park includes five original adobe structures, including Casa de Estudillo, Casa de Machado y Silvas, and Casa de Machado y Stewart. There are other historic buildings as well as various museums, restaurants, and shops.
Torrey Pines Golf Course
Experience unbeatable weather while playing a round of golf at Torrey Pines Golf Course. Located in La Jolla with the Pacific Ocean as a backdrop, golf enthusiasts can enjoy this 36-hole municipal public golf facility. We recommend calling to book a tee time as soon as possible to guarantee space for your group.
San Diego Zoo Safari Park
The San Diego Zoo Safari Park is fun for the entire family! You can find more than 3,000 animals and 3,500 plant species at the park. There are numerous safari adventures to embark on including the cart safari, cheetah safari, jungle ropes safari, caravan safari, flightline safari, roar and snore safari, and more.
Seaport Village is located in downtown San Diego next to the San Diego Bay. Locals and visitors alike can experience numerous events, festivals, and live music performances throughout the year. Seaport Village features a multitude of shops, eateries, and attractions. There’s truly nothing quite like watching the sunset over the water!
Mission Bay Aquatic Park
The Mission Bay Aquatic Park is one of the largest instructional waterfront facilities in the world. People can take classes and receive lessons in sailing, wakeboarding, surfing, stand up paddling, rowing, kayaking, and windsurfing.
